FTAG works with state and local government officials, health departments, fire officials and other stakeholders to help decision-makers understand the needs and challenges of mobile food operators. FTAG has advocated for regulatory changes that reduce unnecessary barriers for Georgia food truck businesses and continues to address issues involving permits, inspections, fire requirements and other operating regulations.
FTAG works with corporations, hospitals, municipalities, property managers, event organizers and community organizations to create vending, catering and recurring food service opportunities for qualified members. FTAG has also supported large-scale activations and special events that create visibility and revenue opportunities for Georgia mobile food businesses.
Community service is an important part of FTAG's work. FTAG and its members have participated in Feed the Community initiatives, community partnerships, local outreach efforts and programs that use food and service to support neighborhoods throughout Georgia. Community engagement and small-business economic development go hand in hand.
FTAG's bylaws establish the framework for the governance and operation of the Association.
